Service Fellowship with the Rotary Club of Shanghai

This past Tuesday, Shanghai Sunrise was invited to participate in the Service Fellowship initiative hosting by our longtime sponsor, the Rotary Club of Shanghai. Held at Bambino, the Service Fellowship is an opportunity for partnering organizations such as Shanghai Sunrise, to share insights into projects and provide updates on collaborations, in a relaxed and informal setting.

Led by our Executive Director of Outreach, Jessica Zimmerle shared details about the Rotary Club of Shanghai’s sponsored students. She highlighted one university student who will graduate from highschool this year and has applied for university. Despite this student’s personal struggles, this student has been accepted at the University in XinJiang, majoring in Business Administration.

Thereafter, the evening was spent enjoying good food and wonderful conversations with members of Rotary Club of Shanghai, guest members of Rotary Club from Beijing, Hongkong, San Francisco and Zurich. As well as guests / friends of the Rotary members.

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Shanghai for sponsoring seven Shanghai Sunrise students and supporting our cause. The Rotary Club of Shanghai has been accompanying these students on their journey from high school to university, creating access to education through scholarships for disadvantaged youth in Shanghai.
